Ambition: To be a good wife and have a large family

I have been working for Jobforce Wales for just over 7 years. I have worked on the Smart Project for 6 years. Before starting with Jobforce I worked in the catering and retail sector for 7 years after leaving school. I find my job a challenge and a pleasure and I thoroughly enjoy coming to work every day. The best part of my job is seeing the postitive chages in the young people and how far they have come by the end of the year.

Jock (Richard Adler)
Age: 41
Hobbies: Football & powerlifting (out of retirement in both), ghost hunting
Likes: Sports cars and nice people
Dislikes: Large spiders and not so nice people
Favourite music: Soft rock, 80's

Ambition: To be successful and happy

I worked at the Pwll Unit from 1994 - 1997, I later joined the Youth Services running Morfa and Penyfan Youth Clubs. I have been with the Smart Project from day-one and I am now in my 8th year and still loving it!

Dislikes: Conflict, war, injustice and a bad curry and losing at blob to Jock

I have been with the Smart Project since 2004, having worked at Calsonic for 20 years previously. I coach football at a local level and also the Sports Leadership Course within the Smart Project.

Gordon Craig
Age: 48
Hobbies: Football, art & history
Likes: Liverpool FC & visiting London
Dislikes: Cows (they hunt in packs) & bullies
Favourite music: Queen, Supertramp

Ambition: To work and live in London

I joined the Smart Project after completing various courses with Jobforce Wales. My career has been varied from working on a Golf Course to working in the Retail sector. For several years I worked in a nightclub as a doorman and as a security guard.

 

Simon Walters

Age: 38

Hobbies: Off road driving/hill climbing & sprinting

Likes: Dogs, motorbikes & cars

Dislikes: Snakes, lizards & spiders

Favorite music: Heavy rock

Ambition: To make myself a fortune

I have just started with Jobforce Wales as a Smart 2 Officer. I have worked for over 16 years in engineering which led me to teaching 14 - 16 year olds welding and fabrication, then on to working in the foster care sector. From experience gained in these areas I secured my present position of Smart 2 Officer.

 

Sian Atkinson

Age: 34

Hobbies: Reading, running, scuba diving

Likes: Flowers, food and fun

Dislikes: Boredom

Favorite music: Blue grass, dance and S Club 7

Ambition: To travel the world in my private yacht

I have been working as a basic skills tutor with the Project for 3 years and I have recently started working at the Carmarthen Smart Project also delivering basic skills.

Members of the team are also trained in NVQ Assessing/Verifying, counselling to Diploma level, basic first aid, health and safety vetting and monitoring, catering, retail and customer service, basic drugs awareness and 2 star canoeing.
