Welcome
An alternative to traditional education...
Welcome to this web site for The Smart Project, Jobforce Wales, Llanelli.
The Smart Project is a wider curriculum programme, run by Jobforce Wales in partnership with Carmarthenshire Youth Service. We accept referrals from schools in Llanelli and the surrounding areas. The project is designed for year 11 students, with a few year 10 places available.

If you are...
A Parent or Prospective Student, then go to the about the project section for more information. The achievements and out of the classroom pages will tell you about the qualifications/awards/certificates that the students can gain and what else they will be involved in. There is information about all the staff on the project on the meet the team page and you can see quotes and success stories from past students and their parents on the students page, as well as seeing what this years students are up to.
A School or Educational Unit, looking to refer students onto the project then the about the project page which includes information about the referral process, achievements and out of the classroom pages will be of interest to you. You can also see who is running the project on the meet the team page, if you currently have students on the project then looking at the students page will allow you to see what they are doing this year.
A Past or Present Student, then visiting the student pages will give you access to past stories, present student blogs and diaries of what we are up to this year. You can also contact the staff to let us know what you are doing now, also giving you access to continued support or advice should you need it. Some of your pictures may also be on some of the other pages, so go have a look!
